No, I'm not talking about those topics on chemistry where you study about how to extract things or solvents or any object or metal from something else. I'm talking about something metaphorically. Methods of extraction when it comes to emotions. You can say I'm talking about how you act when you have a certain emotion over-ruling you.For instance let's take you to be nervous, or tensed, stressed or any emotions along the tonnes of these ones, how do you act? Certainly your behavior changes and you act a tad differently so the emotion doesn't stay on top of you. When you're tensed you might start eating loads or sleeping or hogging the internet for hours or something, same might be if you're depressed about something. When you're nervous you start to fidget a lot and have no way to stop cause you constantly think over the stuff that might make you start to act so much more. The easiest way of stopping these actions may only be if you keep them off your own mind, and you somehow distract yourself and the sooner you know it'll all be over. Just like when it's the time of your result; what do you do? You get nervous and start thinking that what if you failed and then you start losing your confidence in yourself and a ton of other emotion start to boil up- a domino effect you can say. The only way not to be so is if you keep confidence in yourself. That's an easy thing to say isn't it? You may do so but then due to something you might again start the domino effect of your emotions, so for that not to happen all you have to do is keep cool and go with the flow. Don't be so tough on yourself.
